Dagala Thousand Lakes Trek
Long hidden but exquisite, so much so, culturally rich country is Bhutan. Itinerary In Detail
Days 01 : Kathmandu to Paro Fly
Fly to Paro from Kathmandu.
Days 02 : Paro Sightseeing
After breakfast drive to Drugyal Dzong. From here the peak of Chomolhari also known as Mountain of the Goddess " can be viewed clearly. On the way visit a typical Bhutanese farmhouse. Also visit the Rinpung Dzong, National Museum and Kyichu Lhakhang.
Days 03 : Paro to Thimphu
After breakfast drive to Thimphu. Visit Memorial Chorten, National Library and Tashichho Dzong.
Days 04 : Thimphu Sightseeing
Visit Simtokha dzong one of the oldest fortresses in Bhutan. Also visit woodcraft, painting school and Handicrafts Emporium.
Days 05 : Thimphu to Talekha
The trek starts from Simtokha dzong and leads through blue pine and evergreen forests till Talekha village. The Talekha village consists of five houses and a huge temple called Tale-Lhakhang.
Days 06 : Talekha to Japhuna
The trek leads through thick forests of blue pine and evergreen oak trees into soft pine and spruce forests. One can have a breathtaking view of Thimphu valley and its surrounding mountain ridges.
Days 07 : Japhuna to Jaduna
The trek from Japhuna to Jaduna takes you along many small lakes.
Days 08 : Jaduna to Labatama
During the trial one pass from the Aum Jomo and Jomibue Pass. Even one can see the beautiful views of the high mountains towards northern Bhutan.
Days 09 : Labatama
Visit several lakes and enjoy the fishing day in the lake.
Days 10 : Labatama to Genekha
The trial pass from Labatama to Genekha .The trial pass through beautiful landscape and Pagalptsa Pass. From the pass you can view beautiful glimpse of the Genekha village and a portion of the Paro valley.
Days 11 : Genekha to Paro
Short trek and then you will drive to Paro.
Days 12 : Paro Sightseeing
After breakfast drive to Satsam Chorten and from there to Taktsang Monastery which means "Tiger's Nest". The Monastery is perched on a rocky ledge with a sheer drop of nearly 4000-ft. and overlooks the Paro valley.
Days 13 : Paro to Kathmandu Fly
Drive to Paro International Airport and then fly to Kathmandu.
