Makalu Trek
Fitness an event that won't happen again until the next century while trekking in the highest mountains of the world! From our highest camp, nearly 16,000'Makalu Base Camp, we'll be at the base of such giants as Makalu, 27,760'; Peak 4,22,440', Chamlang, 24,000'; and Peak 6,22,100'; as well as having the unusual view of Everest's east face. Plus we'll be perfectly situated for viewing the total solar eclipse on Oct. 24, visible only in India and Southeast Asia.
Our return is through the sparsely populated upper arun Valley to Tumlingtar, from where we fly back to kathmandu. The World Bank is foreiger's one of the largest hydroelectric power projects in the world ahead in this botanical diverged valley, so take advantage of this unique opportunity!
